From Truro to Falmouth – A Trip Down The Maritime Line with GWR and their Class 150.

Hello guys, next up in the series ‘Airlines and Branch Lines of Cornwall’ is this quick little jaunt down The Maritime Line with GWR from Truro to Falmouth (Falmouth Docks to be precise) in their class 150.

This is a lovely little line, steeped in history and innovation – both old and new. The interesting Penryn station is a great example of the latter whilst Isombard Kingdom Brunel also played his part in shaping the line back in the early days of its construction.

Falmouth is steeped in maritime history and is well-worth a visit in itself, together with Pendennis Castle. Both are easily accessible from Falmouth Town and Falmouth Docks respectively.

I’ll show you inside the train – the class 150 which is a dogged workhorse along many of these Cornish branch lines and I’ll also tell you how much I paid, in total, for this day out which you may find useful if planning your own Cornish adventure.

As always guys, thanks for watching and enjoy the video!
