Tinting is perfectly safe for the eye area – you can even tint your eyelashes! The tint is a vegetable dye mixed with diluted peroxide. The tint is left on for anywhere from 1-5 minutes, depending on how dark you want your eyebrows. There are also different colours of tint such as light brown, brown, black, red, chestnut (auburn), etc. Talk with your professional to see what is best for you. Be prepared that results may be slightly more dramatic at first, but in a couple of days the tint fades.
Waxing procedures can vary a little depending on product used. Some waxes require baby powder to be applied to area first before the wax. The wax used in this video does not – it is a cream wax and is very gentle on the skin. There are also waxes that don’t require strips for removal. After waxing it is necessary to leave the area alone for at least 24 hours – it is left very sensitive and you can do a lot of damage if you use fragrant products, abrasives or are have sun exposure.
